Ventricular Fibrillation Ventricular Fibrillation (V-Fib) is a dangerous form of arrhythmia that occurs when the heart ventricles contract in a rapid and chaotic manner so that the heart either pumps very little or no blood. This condition quickly leads to cardiac arrest if not treated with defibrillation and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) within minutes.
