Steroids
Steroids are a particular class of chemicals that regulate body function. Some steroids are produced naturally by the body, while synthetic steroids are manufactured for treating diseases. There are many groups of steroids, including: corticosteroids which are used to treat allergies or to relieve swelling and inflammation (such as prednisone); and anabolic androgenic steroids which are used by people who wish to build muscle and increase their body size.
