Saturated Fat
Saturated fat is a fat that is solid at room temperature. Saturated fat is referred to as a bad fat, as eating a diet high in saturated fat may contribute to weight gain, high LDL cholesterol, and heart disease. Foods high in saturated fat include high-fat dairy products (cheese, whole milk, cream, butter, ice cream), skin and fat of chicken and turkey, lard, palm oil, coconut oil, high-fat fresh and processed meat.
