Monounsaturated Fat
Monounsaturated fat is an unsaturated fat that is primarily found in plant food sources. Monounsaturated fat is a beneficial fat for the body and may help lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease, but as all types of fat it can cause weight gain if there is too much in the diet. Foods containing monounsaturated fat include canola oil, olive oil, olives, nuts, seeds, and avocados.
